Brandon shoveling snow on our Driveway

Brandon has made it safely to work the past couple of days. Thank goodness for 4-wheel drive!

Lilly being WILD in her crib

Lilly's new favorite game is to toss all of her stuffed animals out of her crib and onto the floor. I guess I used to play the same game when I was her age.

Lilly made friends with a goat in the Petting Zoo at the Grotto!

Lilly and Pooh Bear

Lilly got a giant Pooh Bear from Great-Grandpa Jim for Christmas. As you can see, she loves it!

Christmas Tree Lighting at the Hilton

It's a tradition for our family that every year, the Friday night after Thanksgiving, we go downtown Vancouver with my parents and brother and Brandon's brother and sister-in-law, Matt and Angie. We see the tree lighting, listen to the Vancouver Pops (Brandon's grandparents play), and see the Festival of the Trees. It was especially fun to take Lilly this year. She loved people watching and playing with her cousin, Nicholas.

Sauvie Island Corn Maze

We went on our annual Corn Maze trip to Sauvie Island. Lilly loved it and laughed the whole way through the maze. It was very muddy, so I think she liked slipping around a bit!

Lilly's Halloween Costume - She Won!

Lilly won the Halloween Costume Contest! The prize was a $50 gift card from giftcards.com. We chose to go to McCormick & Schmicks Fish House for a date night (where Brandon proposed!)

Lilly dressed up as Lilly Mouse from "Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse" by Kevin Henkes. She has a tail with a red bow, red cowboy boots with stars, and a purple plastic purse complete with 3 shiny quarters, movie star sunglasses, and a squirt gun "just in case". If you haven't read the book, it's a must! You can also vote for Lilly in the Cutest Halloween Baby Contest at http://www.cutest-baby-shower-ideas.com/lilly-from-lillys-purple-plastic-purse-costume.html

Tea at Rachel's

Lilly and I were invited to tea at my friend Rachel Beohm's house. Here is Lilly with Rachel's daughter, Julianna (Jules).

Brandon's 30th Birthday

August 2nd was Brandon's 30th birthday. We celebrated with family and friends at Grass Valley Park on August 4th.

6th Anniversary

Brandon and I celebrated our 6th anniversary, July 27th. We were in Sunriver. My parents watched Lilly while we had a relaxing afternoon at Jinsei Spa in Bend and ate a fabulous dinner at the Lodge.

This summer, Lilly learned how to play the piano! Okay, not yet, but she definitely loves it already.

4 Generations

Here is my Grandma, Nina Pettyjohn, my mom, Joanne, me and Lilly! We went to Albertina Kerr Restaurant, our favorite place to go with Grandma!

Cannon Beach

In mid-July, we went to Cannon Beach for the day. Lilly was just starting to sit up and she cut her second tooth that day too! Now she has her two bottom teeth and is working on her top teeth.

Fun with Friends!

This summer, Carly Christ (Jason & Lindsay's daughter) and Callie came over for a swim. On Fourth of July, we went to see Jenny and Bryan along with Jenny's family and many friends in Hood River. The fireworks were spectacular and we got to view them from deck. The best part was that we didn't have to drive home that night (but Lilly did). Brandon and I spent the night and went hiking and swimming in the Gorge the next day. Lilly spent the night with her Nana and Papa - the first time she was away from us!

On one of our trips to Sunriver, we visited the Lava Cast Forest. During an eruption, lava flowed around trees, buring them up, but leaving holes, or "lava casts" of the trunks. Lilly had a great time walking the one mile trail, even though it was nap time!

Lilly in Sunriver

Lilly had lots of fun going to Sunriver this summer! By the end of the summer, we will have taken her 7 times since she was born! Here is Lilly at Fort Rock Park with her Nana and Lilly hanging out with Emma, our Springer Spaniel.

Lilly almost sitting up! Lilly would rather stand in her stroller than sit.

Lilly's Firsts

Lilly is growing fast! It's hard to remember what she looked like when she was first born. She is now able to (almost) sit up on her own, (almost) hold her own bottle, roll over from tummy to back, eat rice cereal and bananas, and loves her pool!
